Our History Waste Away has operated in the Canberra and Queanbeyan regions for 30 years. More recently, we have expanded into the south coast of NSW collecting used cooking oil from Wollongong to Eden and inland to Cooma and the Snowy Mountains. Waste Away is a family owned and run business that has grown from the original 1 employee, 1 truck and 600 trash pack customers in 1988 into the multifaceted waste management services company it is today. Our Staff We pride ourselves on providing friendly, helpful staff and currently have a team of a dozen employees waiting to help you. Our Fleet Our extensive fleet ensures we have a range of vehicles available to handle your request no matter how large or small. Our fleet includes: - Compactor garbage trucks for domestic and commercial use, - Dedicated paper and recycling trucks, - Flat bed trucks with tailgate lifters, - Pantechs, - Tautliners, - 1 tonne utilities. Our Equipment Waste Away chooses to use only the highest standard of equipment.
This minimises the effect of wear and tear and subsequently reduces our need to replace damaged bins etc. These practices assist us in minimising our carbon footprint. Our in-house mechanic ensures that we always have safe and reliable vehicles and equipment. Our Location Waste Away’s waste management and recycling facility is located in Hume, ACT.
