Ready for a massage?

Well this is a simple question to answer. Simply listen to your body. When you are feeling stress, pain, tension or fatigue it is your bodies way of saying: “Hey! Something is not right here, I’m not in balance”.

I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and I am trained in the techniques to identify and correct soft tissue dysfunction. (Soft tissue refers to your muscle, tendons, ligaments and fascia). These dysfunctions may result in headaches, tight and painful muscles, loss of range of movement or muscle weakness. Each one of my clients present a unique need as each of us react in our own way to stress, overuse, under-use, illness, injury, emotional upheaval and life in general.

Prior to your massage I will ask you a series of questions and perform some tests to identify the causes of your discomfort and then design an individual treatment plan for you.
During your massage, I will work the tension out of stiff and sore muscles with a variety of remedial techniques to help you feel more balanced and relaxed.
I feel privileged to have treated so many people and look forward to helping you too.

What should you expect from a massage?
Massage therapy is so much more than just the placing of hands on a body. Your body functions as a complete unit and it is important that it is treated as such.
Firstly, it is important for your health and wellbeing to only trust your body to a trained, professional therapist. For example, did you know that there are times when you shouldn’t have a massage as it may be detrimental to your condition?
Alway ask what level of qualification has been obtained to ensure you do not expose yourself to possible injury or aggravation of a condition.
Please ensure your therapist is qualified. Visit the ‘Australian Association of Massage Therapists’ website to locate your local, qualified massag
